Putting Knowledge into action
Currently working on a PhD in sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, I am making sure that knowledge becomes action.
Simultaneously, I have spent the past four years working in operations, communication, and development, understanding that the work organizations put into the world can choose to empower or disempower systems of oppression.
I consistently use artistic expression, including creative nonfiction writing, zine making, and collage to convey how my brain interprets the world and the systemic inequality it faces.
That same commitment shapes how I show up for organizations: as a trainer, a communications strategist, and a grant writer who treats compliance and storytelling as the same discipline — both are how a mission survives contact with the world.
